Bringing over a decade of specialized clinical experience, Vi is the Co-founder and Director of Operations at Mend Recovery. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science from San Jose State University in San Jose, California and earned her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Throughout her career across inpatient rehabilitation, long-term rehabilitation, acute care, outpatient pediatrics, and adult home health settings, she has guided clients through complex post-operative recovery—specializing in plastic, orthopedic, spinal, neurological, and cardiac surgeries.
Vi co-founded Mend Recovery to bridge a critical gap in post-surgical care: transforming the vulnerable transition from the operating room into a seamless, elevated home-healing experience. Rooted in a deep understanding that life does not pause for recovery, her practice blends rigorous clinical safety with holistic wellness. Fabiola Garibay, BSN, RN, is the Co-founder and Clinical Partner at Mend Recovery, bringing elite surgical expertise directly into the private care space. As an OR nurse and clinical educator in the aesthetic industry, Fabiola has partnered with over 20 medical practices and worked alongside more than 100 physicians to establish advanced safety protocols. Her hands-on experience inside the operating room gives her an intimate, firsthand understanding of complex surgical protocols and surgeon preferences.
Fabiola co-founded Mend Recovery after witnessing the glaring gap between a pristine surgical suite and the vulnerable reality of returning home. Driven to bridge this transition, she provides a reassuring, high-touch presence that combines medical vigilance with deep empathy.
